Internship @ Gabriela Lotaif

“My internship with Gabriela was an intense and very instructive experience, it was for me a great privilege to share the days of such a talented and driven designer.

She taught me a lot about her job from a technical point of view but also theoretically by sharing with me her creative approach. She was very caring and took time to explain many things to me in depth. She made sure that I could assist her according to my skills and did not hesitate to give me important tasks and to highlight my work during professional meetings.

It was an inspiring month during which I learned many skills and had a lot of fun with Gabriela!”

Faustine Tournay, the first intern I ever had.

“I applied to Gabriella Lotaif’s internship with the goal of building my confidence and gaining new skills to carry with me into my future—and I can genuinely say this experience exceeded all expectations. Over the course of four months, I had the privilege of working alongside Gabby, a truly inspiring and supportive mentor who was always willing to guide and encourage me throughout the journey.

During my time with her, not only did my confidence grow significantly, but I also developed a wide range of practical and creative skills. I learned how to use 3D printing, gained insight into the product design process, and understood how much dedication and detail goes into building a brand like Ade De Canela. I played an active role in bringing products to life—from designing and prototyping to sourcing sustainable materials from local businesses in Barcelona.

One of my proudest achievements was seeing my input directly influence the final products, which gave me a strong sense of ownership and accomplishment. I improved my technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking, but perhaps even more importantly, I learned to trust myself and my ideas.

The work environment Gabby created was welcoming and encouraging, which made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. I never felt afraid to ask questions or share suggestions, and this openness helped me grow faster than I ever expected.

Overall, this internship was not only an important stepping stone in my career development but also a transformative personal experience. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity, and I will carry everything I’ve learned with me moving forward. I look forward to working alongside Gabby again in the future.”
